My wife and I put a "non-refundable" $15,000 deposit on a home in NJ.rnWe have not gotten funding and as part of our contract we were given until the end of June to close escrow on the home.rnrnWe know that we would lose the "non-refundable deposit" but at this point, is it possible to back out of this home purchase altogether without incurringg additional costs?

In most, if not all states, it needs to be a specific day. Consult with a local attorney or realtor to further assist you.
