My husband and I just purchased a condo last week in Nanaimo which is not schedualed for completion for another 3 months. We received an email yesterday, exactly one week after we signed all the papers, informing us that due to slow slaes, economy , blah, blah, blah they would be dropping the prices of the condos for a limited time. After reviewing the new sale prices we were horrifies to discover that had we waited a week could have had a larger unit for $20000 less! There had been no other condo bought in the last 2 months except for us which took us about a month to get the mortgage all sorted out. I feel as if they waited for our purchase and then dropeed the prices. One week later! I feel so scammed. Are their any legal rights we have here? We are having a meeting with our mortgage broker in 3 days. We feel like he hid this information from us. Is there anyway we can back out?, we already gave a deposit of $20000. I'd be happy to settle for the larger unit at the original price we paid
