My town assessor called to offer his help in reducing my property taxes.I don't recall if he said he needs the appraised value, mkt.value or assessed value.I found a document dated 1/2008 when I refinanced that shows $745,000 as the appraisal & it also calls this amount the "indicated value by sales comparison approach".The same paper labels the number as the mkt.value.Quite frankly I'm totally confused.I thought the appraisal & mkt.values were different. What is the number he wants??Any help you can give me is greatly appreciated.THanks a million.
