I was wondering if a person who is on Social Security disability would be able to get a mortgage? They have good credit and very low debt? They are interested in buying a condo or townhome, which would be cheaper than continuously soaking money into rent. Could this be a feasible thing?

Bank owned properties really aren't any more difficult than properties owned by individuals. On one hand, bank owned houses sell for less than most houses on the market. On the other hand, banks sometimes will not pay for home warranties, inspections, etc during negotiations and escrow. Still, it's well worth it.
