I'm trying to sell my home but it's in a small town and I'm having a very hard time. This time used to be really attractive but since a lot of businesses closed down it's not the hottest area... I have no idea how to make money on my house. Help?

Make sure your home is the most attractive property in town, but also make sure that you are selling for a reasonable price. It sounds like homes in your area aren't very desireable so don't expect to make a mint for your property. IF you need to get out of your place concentrate on what the buyer wants.

Rick, it's all about marketing when it comes to a home in an area that isn't so desirable. You have to make sure your home is advertised in every local paper, and that you have a realtor who is diligently hunting for buyers. Also, make sure your home is in tip-top shape when buyers come to see it. this way they will be so overwhelmed by the beauty of the home that they will forget that about the area that it's in.
