My attorney received an earnest check from a potential buyer for my modular home. The buyer has even signed a one year "lot rental" lease for the home. Now the "Buyer" wants the earnest money back (did not give any reason) and has called the rental office demanding that his lease be destroyed. I'm having a difficult time trying to make heads or tails of this. I even offered this buyer six month's of owner financing so that he could take immediate possession. Of course I feel that he should not be entitled to the earnest money. Where do I stand in this ordeal?
