I am the executor of my mother's estate, which is 4 hours away. The real estate agent who is handling the sale initially told me that he would make sure to set a date that worked for me. As the process of selling the home has continued, it has seemed like the agent is representing the buyer than us the sellers. The latest thing is that he neglected to mention that a recent document included some small print about a closing date that the buyer wanted to have. Since I signed the paper, I have gone along with the date although it is not convenient. However, I am more upset by the fact that I just found out that the agent set a time of 9:00AM without checking with me. Since I have a 4 hour drive, this puts me in a difficult situation because of the travel time and my work hours. I hae told him that I cannot make that time, but he sounds like he is not taking this very seriously. Closing is this Friday. Do I have any rights in this situation?
