I am looking to buy a home thats built on a sloping lot. The lot slopes 30 degrees upwards towards the back. So the garage is under the main floor. Now the house is great. I like everything in the house. It has a view, hardwood floors, granite, etc. But the house has an awful looking stairs in the front. It has about 30 steps and is really plain. If the stairs weren't there, I would've bought the house. Will the stairs affect the resale value? Do you guys see any problems in buying this home? -Kathy

I don't know what a makret is, but the California real estate market is pretty good.

Real estate in California is extremely expensive compared to the rest of the country so if you are going to buy there make sure you have the money.

I say no investment in California is a bad one.
