We have just started searching for a new home so we decided to ask a friend who is a local agent to assist us. No contract was ever signed but she has since shown us about 7 properties this first week of shopping. We heard today that a home that we would love is now available that is being sold privately by the owner. How and when should I let my agent/friend know about this home? If we buy it privately, she won't get paid anything and I don't want to ruin our friendship. I also don't want to lose a great home. Help!
