The purchaser represents that he is either a citizen or permanent legal resident of the US. The purchaser was on a visa at the time of contract and did not get a mortgage. Also He lied about his income. Is this good grounds as to not to return the deposit. We did give him an extension, and it went on for 3months. We sold the home to another buyer for less money. This was all in the state of NY.
