Dear Sirs,

We recently sold our house. Before closing, the buyers had sufficient time to have the house inspected for termites. The buyers hired a professional exterminator. He gave them a "everything is okay." Less than a month after closing, the buyers were doing some remodeling and found some evidence of termites. The same professional exterminator was called back to the house. At this time he said there was evidence. The buyer thinks we are liable to pay for this termite treatment. We feel like they had ample of time BEFORE closing to have this taken care of and also we feel that the professional exterminator was at fault giving them a "everything is okay." Can you give us some insight on this situation?

Thanks,

Donald

You will likely need to check the regulations in your state to figure out if you are liable. Good luck.
