we are looking at a condo that is a forclosure and it was $20,000 below the other properties in the area. we think its a great buy and its our first home but how long SHOULD we wait or EXCPECT to wait? we are very anxious and arent sure if we should wait around to hear back from them or continue our search on something else?

You are not obligatted to the lender until you sign documents.

Your loan officer should never lock a rate till several day before the actual scheduled closing. If time is not a factor with you than yes you may resubmit you loan to any other bank of your choosing, or your loan officer sees fit. If you have any questions feel free to call Justin at 516-241-9513, I am licensed in all 50 states.
