A friend just told me that Conway Twitty's old house has gone up on the market. In terms of resale value how lucrative an investment is a home previously inhabited by Conway Twitty.

It depends on the area you live in and the condition that the house is in.

Greetings Virginia!Characteristically character homes in good condition are quite popular with buyers, especially if the home has unique features (like spiral staircases, turrets, a claw-foot tub and all those other great accents). You should do some research on the other homes in the area and how much they have sold for and this should give you a bit of an idea about the resale value of your property.

Most people will prefer a character home to one looks like it came out of a cookie-cutter.

Homes that were built decades ago are far superior to the hideous mass-produced monstrousities you get today. I say if you can find a great character home you should grab it.

In my area character homes are quite sought after, just make sure there is no structural damage.
